摘要: Abstract Steroid hormones working through their receptors regulate a wide variety of physiologic processes necessary for normal homeostasis. Recent years have witnessed great advances in our understanding how these interact with receptors, and brought us closer to the era directed drug design. We previously described novel intramolecular interaction between helix 3 5 which is responsible Mendelian form human hypertension. Further studies revealed that this highly conserved throughout steroid hormone receptor family functions as key regulator sensitivity specificity. Here, we review contribution 3–helix activity, an eye towards knowledge may aid creation therapeutic agonists antagonists.
