摘要: Documentation of the chemical fertility status soils is sparse for western and central-western wheatbelt New South Wales, Australia. We examined properties surface (0–10 cm) from NSW by collating two published nine unpublished datasets soil analyses representing about 2800 samples. The emphasis was on red used extensively cropping. have low phosphorus (47% soils) sulfur (70% <5 mg S/kg using KCl-40 analysis) commonly organic carbon contents 1%. Surface acidity a substantial problem with 56% having pHCa <5.0. Sodic dispersive are also concern in this area these received little attention or research. Approximately 5% had an exchangeable sodium percentage ≥6% (sodic). Salinity minor significance compared other problems area, although isolated areas occur. These results indicated that lime applications likely to benefit crop pasture production. Additional use fertilisers agricultural practices which increase maintain will need be adopted improve gypsum and/or sodic may addressed. As priority, we suggest benefits application yield examined. 0–10 cm depth should ultimately arrest acidification subsurface (10–20 cm depth) through downward movement effect. Further examination evaluation deficiency field pastures canola priority relevance.
