A semi-analytic approach to determine dose rate constant of brachytherapy sources in compliance with AAPM TG 60 formalism.

摘要: Values of dose rate constant (DRC) in compliance with AAPM TG 60 formalism recommended for intravascular brachytherapy (IVBT) were calculated different point isotropic mono-energetic photon sources the energy range E=20–1000 keV using a semi-analytic model. Based on these DRC values, some existing models of192Ir and125I then (1) bare spectra and (2) single parameter which represents mean (photon number weighted or air-kerma weighted) actual most probable (energy line highest probability emission) investigated (192Ir and125I). Applicability approach was examined by also computing values MCNP Monte Carlo simulation code (Version 3.1) that involved modeling accurately. A comparison resulting from calculations those showed for192Ir agreement within 0.40 % for125I it 2.3 %.
