Prevalence of Candida tropicalis in clinical specimens from patients with variable clinical syndromes over a 5-year period.

摘要: In this study, we have examined our records for the isolation of Candida tropicalis from clinical specimens patients with heterogeneous presentations during past 5 years. We found that species ranks third among all yeasts in frequency and trend recovery is rising over The rate C. was highest urine (36%) followed by respiratory (22%). vaginal relatively high (14%), however declining general, variable disease supports views organism being a major pathogen.
