摘要: Fiber metal laminate (FML) in form of tubular structures is a modern light-weight structure fabricated by incorporating metallic and composite materials. This present study deals with the impact characteristics energy absorption performances fiber thin-walled tubes subjected to loading. Dynamic computer simulation techniques validated experimental testing are used perform series parametric studies such devices. The aims at quantifying crush response capacity FML under axial loading conditions. A comparison has been done terms behaviour that pure aluminium tubes. It evident preferable as absorbers due their ability withstand greater loads, thus absorbing higher energy. Furthermore, it found better maintained length increases. primary outcome this design information for use where expected particularly crashworthiness applications.
