摘要: Abstract Anthocyanins in the flowers of pomegranate ( Punica granatum L.) were extracted and separated by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography Sephadex LH-20 chromatography. Two anthocyanins identified to be pelargonidin 3,5-diglucoside 3-glucoside spectral methods, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance mass spectroscopy comparisons with literature. These two from for first time. Furthermore, antioxidant activities purified screened their antioxidative potential using 2,2′-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) 3-ethyl-benzo-thiazoline-6-sulphonate (ABTS) systems. The showed strong radical scavenging activities. Pelargonidin higher activity (50% inhibition values 19.56 μg/ml DPPH Trolox equivalents 2.39 μg/μg ABTS) than 3,5-diglucoside.
