摘要: Abstract Galactic cosmic ray bombardment provides a permanent background ionosphere in planetary atmospheres. A transport technique is used to compute the ionization rate profile model of Venusian atmosphere at altitudes between 55 and 100 km. These rates are then applied ion chemistry predict equilibrium electron density profiles. Ionization for typical solar flare proton events available from earlier calculations have been included.
