摘要: The aim of this study was to purify protein(s) from Piper betle leaf for identification and further characterization. A functionally unknown protein purified apparent homogeneity with a molecular mass 15.7 kDa identified as Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD). SOD appeared be monomeric converted its dimeric form increased enzymatic activity in betel nut oral extract. This irreversible conversion mainly induced by slaked lime, resulting the increase pH cavity.
