摘要: Thyroid cancer represents approximately 1% of new and oestrogen may play a role in the pathogenesis thyroid neoplasm. We aimed to study clinicopathological criteria ER expression Mansoura University (Egypt), correlate survival these data expression. This retrospective reviewed 644 patients with histologically proven carcinoma during period from 2003 2011. 152 cases between 2008 2011 were retrieved archive examined by immunohistochemistry for receptor-α (ER) ER-α is significantly associated female sex, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage, extrathyroid extension, multifocality disease recurrence whole series (p < 0.5). The same was noticed papillary (PTC) except gender patient. Tumour type, extension independent prognostic factors DFS, while PTC, only one. histological type factor OAS studied expression, one that affected PTC. There significant positive correlation metastasis patient PTC cases. No difference low high ranges prognosis Egypt similar occurs worldwide. marker DFS can be used as predictive metastasis.
