摘要: Abstract The patients with end stage kidney disease need haemodialysis therapies, using an artificial kidney. Nevertheless, the current therapies cannot remove a broad range of uremic toxins compared to natural Adsorption sorbent-based columns, can improve clearance toxins, but sorbent particles often require polymeric coatings their haemocompatibility leading mass transfer limitations and lowering performance. Earlier, we have developed dual layer Mixed Matrix fiber Membrane (MMM) based on polyethersulfone/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PES/PVP) polymer blends. There, activated carbon are embedded in outer membrane for achieving higher removal whereas inner blood contacting selective should achieve optimal compatibility. In this work, evaluate detail MMM following norm ISO 10993–4. We study two generations having different dimensions transport characteristics; one low flux no albumin leakage another high some leakage. results those home-made PES/PVP single hollow various control fibers already applied clinic.
