These lesions may accompany rapidly progressive atherosclerosis and signal the presence life threatening We have seen three patients with one patient was treated by surgical excision large xanthomas arising from substance extensor tendons over metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints hand. Because these arise complete removal result in loss continuity function. Surgery form subtotal advised for functional or cosmetic reasons. Although incomplete be associated recurrence, appropriate medical management prevent delay this recurrence.
