Although case submissions received year-round, number abortions peaked month January, then gradually decreased until June. EHV-1-associated abortion or neonatal death was diagnosed 106 cases. At beginning investigations (late 70s), there a few cases EHV-1 abortions, but first half 80s, not isolated. Until 1990, percentage ranged 0% 50%, reaching its peak 1984. A similar situation observed during next two decades. In 1991, 1998, 2007, 2008, no isolation, highest rate (50%) noticed 1996 2000. The results this study indicate that remains an important cause pregnancy loss horses, despite extensive vaccinations.
