摘要: Abstract (1) It is concluded that foot-clasp mounting, rather than social play, by juvenile rhesus monkeys the appropriate index of affectional development essential for normal adult heterosexual behavior in male monkey. (2) The opportunity continuous interaction with peers, lasting at least three months, resulted increased frequencies display mounts and decreased play monkeys. (3) When experience was provided during first year life, behavioral changes were manifested immediately when this delayed until late second frequency mounting correspondingly delayed. (4) Adult competence greatest males had earliest experience, intermediate no peers. (5) Rearing conditions produced highest associated rearing lowest competence.
