摘要: Assessment of floor slip slipperiness is paramount importance in quantifying the risk slipping and falling incidents. Friction measurement one major approaches assessing slipperiness. The Brungraber Mark II slipmeters commonly used USA. Operation requires repetitive strikes footwear pad on for a single reading. One disadvantages that operator needs to lift 4.54 kg weight releases it with an awkward kneeing posture every trial. To remedy this drawback, designer has fabricated new slipmeter named III. Instead been driven by weight, III activated spring. This less physical effort both carrying operating as compared II. However, there no published data examining reliability consistency device. In study, we compare friction results two under four floors, materials, three surface conditions.
