Magnetization of the Rare‐Earth Manganese Compounds R6Mn23

摘要: Measurements have been made of the magnetic moments compounds type R6Mn23, where R is a rare‐earth ion. Determination saturation Mn with nine rare earths (Sm, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Lu) show that, one exception, manganese are antiparallel; only in gadolinium compound there complete ferromagnetic coupling. From moment Lu6Mn23 derives 0.4μB per atom. The measured other agree closely those calculated assuming for normal gJ appropriate
