Theoretical Lifetimes and Oscillator Strengths in Ce II. Application to the Chemical Composition of the Sun

摘要: A new set of transition probabilities is derived for many transitions Ce II astrophysical interest. relativistic Hartree-Fock method, combined with a least-squares fitting the available experimental levels, including number newly determined values, has been used determination eigenfunctions and eigenvalues. Configuration interaction core-polarization effects have introduced in calculations. The oscillator strengths lead to value cerium abundance solar photosphere, ACe = 1.70 ± 0.04 (in usual logarithmic scale) which somewhat larger but reasonable agreement meteoritic result.
