摘要: In order to find out hydrographical parameters influences over macrobenthic density and diversity, fifteen stations were sampled in Chilika lagoon. They grouped into macrophytes dominated areas fro m Station 1 10 (St1 St10) Phragmites karka from 11 15 (St St 15).The value of Pearson's correlation matrix the was found be positive significant relationship with transparency (r=0.548, p<0.05), depth (r=0.8006, p<0.01) pH (r=0.72, p<0.01). Whereas biomass (r=0.656, p<0.01), (r=0.516, p<0.05) dissolved oxygen (r=0.671, The diversity index values highest between St1 decreased sharply St11 St15. Non-metric Mu ltidimensional Scaling (NMDS) resulted three clusters study area which characterized as live macrophyte, dead macrophyte Phargmites Cluster I, II III respectively. Progressive decreasing trend observed macrobentic depth, cluster I III. total nu mbers bio mass wet weight 26075 no -2 (1738 ± 3341) 277 g (18.47±38.83) sampling stations.
