摘要: An archiving file system is specifically designed to support the storage of, and access to, remote files (42) stored on high speed, large capacity network data servers (14). The automatically archives across multiple types of secondary media (46, 48) such (14), based a set hierarchically selectable archival attributes selectively assigned each (42). completely transparent user program (22) operates (42), by providing different control (40) structure server without need modify standard (24) that native particular operating (20) executing nodes (10) or interfaces (34) distributed computer environment (12).
