摘要: Mean and environmentally induced differences in radial oxygen loss (ROL) were investigated for three pioneer species (i.e. Schoenus nigricans L., Juncus articulatus L. Samolus valerandi L.) two late-successional dune slack Calamagrostis epigejos Carex flacca Schreber). These grown a factorial design at conditions differing moisture, light, nutrient availability Fe2+ Mn2+ concentrations. On average, ROL was twice as low compared to species, but it increased on average by factor 1.5 these upon flooding while unaffected species. Other effects of treatments groups insignificant. Species-specific plasticity stronger than that the varied highly with different combinations – interactions between environmental cultivation flooding, concentrations Mn2+, light levels, not affected relative growth rates. Moreover, activity almost 20×, significantly, higher seedlings adults nigricans. This implies depends stage life cycle conditions, something should be considered when determining ROL. most (a combination of) high levels: strongly negatively correlated root/shoot ratio, which presumably caused gas transport capacity root consumption ratios. The leads dynamic rhizosphere influx is function plant particularly conditions.
