摘要: Colorectal cancer is a major health burden, and leading cause of cancer-related deaths in industrialized countries. The steady improvements surgery chemotherapy have improved survival, but the ability to identify high- low-risk patients still somewhat poor. Molecular biology has, over years, given insight into basic principles colorectal initiation development. These findings include aberrations increasing risk tumor development, genetic changes associated with stepwise progression disease, errors predicting response specific treatment. Potential biomarkers are extensively studied, how molecular relate clinical features. Yet, little this knowledge has been possible transfer practice. In review, an overview genetics will be given, as well found type proposed for prediction, diagnostic tools, prognosis or prediction treatment outcome.
