Precision Synthesis of Ethylene and Polar Monomer Copolymers by Palladium-Catalyzed Living Coordination Copolymerization

摘要: Coordination insertion polymerization is unsurpassed as a straightforward method for synthesis of high-value polyolefins by the copolymerization ethylene and polar monomers, but poison effects groups on metal center result in lack fine control over polymer architecture. Herein we reported thermally stable dibenzobarrelene-derived α-diimine palladium catalyst precision functionalized living variety acrylate comonomers. The introduction bulky dibenzobarrelene backbone can improve migratory selectivity methyl (MA) 2,1-mode, thus preventing from poisoning centers five-membered palladacycle intermediates formed 1,2-insertion MA. In this chain-walking system, composition, molecular weight, branching topology copolymer be facilely tunable simple variation pressure.
