摘要: We examine the spatial relationship between solar hard X-ray sources observed with Hard X-Ray Telescope aboard Yohkoh and photospheric electric currents at Mees Solar Observatory. In 1993, Canfield et al. concluded that energetic electron precipitation tends to occur edge of sites high vertical current. They did not, however, have a direct diagnostic particle precipitation; they used Hα Stark-wing emission as proxy. this paper, we analyze images vector magnetograms six flares M/X class reach two basic conclusions. First, confirm avoids current density levels, preferentially occurring adjacent these channels. Hence, conclude our observations rule out flare models in which nonthermal electrons are accelerated within large-scale active-region systems by present magnetographs. Second, conjugate magnetic footpoints stronger is associated smaller weaker field. This result consistent "cornucopia"-shaped morphology precipitating deflected away from narrower footpoint mirroring.
