摘要: SUMMARY A neuraminidase-inhibition (NI) assay performed in microtiter plates is described. This micro-NI a modification of the NI recommended by World Health Organization. It reduces quantity reagents required and permits antigenic classification many isolates simultaneously. To determine accuracy sensitivity this assay, 110 influenza viruses, representing all subtypes, based upon nine known neuraminidases (NAs), were classified both macro-NI assays two separate laboratories. The NAs identified accurately assay. Virus mixtures detected assays, although was clearly more sensitive. also suitable for testing sera presence antibodies to NAs. Although did not provide quantitation it prove be rapid method virus antibody studies on viruses.
