摘要: Increasing numbers of organic micropollutants are emitted into rivers via municipal wastewaters. Due to their persistence many pollutants pass wastewater treatment plants without substantial removal. Transport and fate in receiving waters export downstream ecosystems is not well understood. In particular, a better knowledge processes governing environmental behavior needed. Although lot data available concerning the ubiquitous presence rivers, accurate on transport removal rates lacking. this paper, mass balance approach presented, which based Lagrangian sampling scheme, but extended account for precise velocities mixing along river stretches. The calculated balances allow quantification pollutants' reactivity segments. This demonstrated representative members important groups micropollutants, e.g. pharmaceuticals, musk fragrances, flame retardants, pesticides. A model-aided analysis measured series gives insight temporal dynamics processes. occurrence different mechanisms such as photooxidation, microbial degradation, volatilization discussed. results demonstrate, that highly variable time space has be considered future studies. high precision scheme presented could powerful tool quantifying under boundary conditions segments with contrasting properties.
