摘要: The neem tree has long been recognized for its unique properties both against insects and in improving human health. It is grown most tropical sub-tropical areas of the world shade, reforestation production row material natural insecticides medicines. Azadirachtin, a complex tetranortriterpenoid limonoid from seeds, main component responsible toxic effects insects. Six international conferences on vast scientific literature report antifeedant physiological neem. This article reviews behavioral azadirachtin, including insect reproduction, direct "secondary" antifeedancy, measured as growth reduction, increased mortality abnormal delayed moults. These are here categorized two ways: cells tissues indirect exerted via endocrine system. also describes work carried out to date identify mode action azadirachtin at cellular level. differential between animal phyla over non-target organisms discussed point potential success safe insecticide.
