摘要: Ninety patients (thirty-nine men, fifty-one women with a mean age of 45.4 years rheumatic heart disease or prosthetic valves, were subjected to total 1617 dental procedures, which required about 3400 patient/dentist encounters. All treatments performed according the protocol described in present article. Although theory expects three six cases infective endocarditis population, none have encountered (p = 0.0013). A conceptual approach, as well protocol, is presented. Properly applied, will reduce probability iatrogenic and self-inflicted bacteremia, thus elevating efficacy preventive process.
