摘要: This study was conducted to investigate the participation of Toxoplasma gondii in reproductive failure small ruminants raised Litoral/ Zona da Mata and Agreste State Pernambuco, Brazil. Twelve flocks were selected from which 262 samples collected, 167 goats 95 sheep. Indirect Imunofluorescent Antibody Reaction (IFA) technique used detect antibodies anti-Toxoplasma gondii. A questionnaire applied identify risk factors associated with infection. Positive animals found 100% farms. Among goat serum analyzed, 31.7% positive, whereas sheep, 16.9% positive. Results brucellosis tests negative for analyzed samples. For no significant association found; however, goats, there a (p<0.05) intensive handling (OR=2.40), milk exploration (OR=2.10), originating other states (OR=7.89) natural breeding (OR=5.69). It concluded that infection T. is spread studied sheep sanitary measures must be adopted control
