摘要: The goal of this research is to establish a reliable methodology for accelerated fatigue tests prosthetic heart valves. A polymer valve was the subject, and influence various drive parameters on durability investigated in three different machines. Valve lifetime notably shortened by increasing cyclic rate or stroke even though maximum pressure difference at closure maintained 120 mm Hg. These results demonstrate that adjustment transvalvular not sufficient ensure are conducted under same conditions indicate measurement dynamic load would be more efficacious. Moreover, locations tears sustained differed from those encountered an animal experiment although both cases were entirely consistent with areas strain concentration revealed finite element analysis. findings should discussed during revision ISO 5840.
