摘要: Results of the Framingham study are compared with those 1959 Build and Blood Pressure Study (BBPS) using same definitions body build similar follow-up periods for mortality. Findings do not accord insurance experience that comprises BBPS. With minor exceptions demonstrates greater relative weight, risk death. The unselected population sample shows minimum mortality around average weight increased persons weighing less or more than average. higher proportion lean who smoke does account excess in leanest group. These differences raise questions on current standards ideal used American population. (JAMA243:1828-1831, 1980)
