摘要: Chemistry is among the last of core natural sciences to embrace preprints, namely, publication non peer-reviewed scientific articles on Internet. After a brief insight into origins and purpose preprints in science, we conducted concrete analysis situation, aiming at providing an answer several questions. Why has chemistry community been late embracing preprints? Is this relation with slow acceptance open-access publishing by same community? Will become common habit also for scholars?
