An empirical potential-energy surface for the He–I2(BΠu3) van der Waals complex including three-body effects

摘要: An empirical intermolecular potential surface is proposed for the He–I2(BΠu3) complex, modeled as a sum of pairwise He–I Morse interactions plus three-body interaction term. The reproduces with very good agreement spectral blueshifts and vibrational predissociation lifetimes measured He–I2(B,υ′) in range υ′=10–67 I2 excitations. In particular, accuracy achieved description experimental data high υ′ levels attributed to term included potential. behavior I–I separation analyzed correlated findings.
