Self-Reported Perpetration of Sexual Harassment by U.S. Navy Men in Their First Year of Duty

摘要: Abstract : Participation in this study were males with at least 9 months of service the Navy. Respondents initially surveyed during basic training using a questionnaire assessing demographics, alcohol use and other factors. Follow-up questionnaires administered by male included measure harassment perpetration, as well measures hostility toward women, hyper masculinity, misuse. Descriptive statistics, bivariate comparisons, logistic regression techniques used to analyze data. A Substantial number recruits reported one instance potentially harassing behavior 6 again 12 after completing training. Our analyses also showed that problems binge drinking associated higher levels self-reported perpetration. Finally, we found hostile attitudes women negative concerning relationships between men related significantly greater likelihood attempting threaten or bribe coworker into sexual relations, according recruits' self-reports.
