摘要: Abstract To identify potential cell surface receptors for chicken cytotactin (CT), we have characterized the ability of recombinant fusion proteins spanning proximal fibronectin (FN) type III repeats molecule to support attachment glioma and carcinoma lines. The third FN repeat, which contains RGD tripeptide, supported spreading; however, mutation RAD did not result in significant loss either activity. In addition, same repeat mouse CT, a natural mutant, RVD, also spreading, although at lower level; both activities were increased by RVD sequence RGD. Studies utilizing RGD-containing peptides well-characterized antibodies integrins indicated that was mediated least two different integrin alpha v subtype. Additional cellular may be involved CT. For example, an antibody beta 1 subfamily partially inhibited binding cells intact CT but inhibit repeat. These findings suggest site is able mediate thus cryptic adhesion site. They open possibility functions processes such as counteradhesion, migration, proliferation, differentiation part interaction with multiple integrins.
