Prevalence of nutrition-related problems among long-term survivors of allogeneic marrow transplantation.

摘要: The nutritional status and prevalence of nutrition-related problems in 192 adult child allogeneic marrow transplant recipients were evaluated 1 year after a retrospective chart review. Among these patients, 63% exhibited evidence chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) at the time nutrition evaluation, including 44% with extensive who receiving immunosuppressive therapy. Oral sensitivity was observed 23% all patients reviewed, frank stomatitis occurred 8%. frequency xerostomia 18%; anorexia, 8%; reflux symptoms, 7%; diarrhea, steatorrhea, 5%; dysgeusia, 3%; limited exercise tolerance because dyspnea or joint contractures, 4%. Weight loss 3 to 12 months experienced by 28%. Nutrition-related problems, changes anthropometric indexes indicative suboptimal status, inadequate energy intake more frequently GVHD than without those GVHD. Our findings indicate high among transplantation and, further, suggest need for ongoing, community-based monitoring discharge from center.
