摘要: Abstract Objectives. To describe health-related quality of life (HRQL) associated with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) assessed by validated questionnaires in four countries. Methods. More than 6000 men, recruited using community- or population-based sampling countries, completed soliciting information about symptom frequency, bother, degree interference daily activities, and other measures HRQL. Results. In all disease-specific HRQL worsened increasing age. Adjusting for age, most were significantly worse severity. The correlation between was strongest countries higher prevalence symptoms, such as Japan the United States, less pronounced (France, Scotland), possibly reflecting variability scores. Conclusions. are older increased severity is despite potential cross-cultural differences disease prevalence, medication use, perceptions, willingness to report This consistency suggests that an assessment bother activities may be useful patient evaluation.
