摘要: The effect of gentamicin upon planktonic cultures Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and aureus was measured with without application 67-kHz ultrasonic stimulation. ultrasound applied at levels that had no inhibitory or bactericidal activity against the bacteria. Measurements MIC P. aeruginosa E. coli demonstrated simultaneous enhanced effectiveness antibiotic. A synergistic observed bacterial viability reduced several orders magnitude when concentrations which by themselves did not reduce were combined. As age culture increased, bacteria became more resistant to antibiotic alone. Application appeared reverse this resistance. treatment-enhanced evident but gram-positive S. epidermidis aureus. These results may have in treatment biofilm infections on implant devices, are usually therapy.
