摘要: Mango peel, the main by-product of juice processing, possesses appreciable quantities bioactive phenolic compounds and is worthy further utilization. The present work reports for first time HPLC analysis in vitro antioxidant evaluation mango peel phenols (MPPs) their cytotoxic effect on A549 lung cancer cell line. These results indicated that has total content 723.2 ± 0.93 mg·kg−1 dry (DMP), which consisted mainly vanillic aldehyde, caffeic acid, chlorogenic gallic procyanidin B2 oleanolic acid. Antioxidant assays showed MPPs had strong activities, with 92 4.2% DPPH radical scavenging rate, 79 2.5% ABTS inhibition rate 4.7 0.5 μM Trolox equivalents per kg−1 DMP ferric reducing power. Gallic acid possess a stronger capacity than other phenols. In tests suggested extract (MPE) an IC50 value 15 mg·mL−1 inhibitory Oleanolic exhibited strongest cytotoxicity, μM, was similar positive control 5-fluorouracil.
