摘要: Background: This study compared the role and timing of bone scintigraphy magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in evaluation vertebral compression fractures (VCFs), before treatment with vertebroplasty kyphoplasty. To our knowledge, no prior articles have described, osteoporotic pathological fractures, MRI as pre-procedural work up those patients candidated to undergo spinal interventional procedures. Materials Methods: A retrospective chart review was performed thirty treated procedures for painful at institution between January 2002 July 2003. Results: In patients, selected after scan imaging, both demonstrated swift pain relief associated resistance augmentation. Conclusion: revealed itself be equivalent selecting kyphoplasty first 3/4 months, while more accurate elderly (>3/4 months). superior collapses due multiple myeloma. The fracture is defined a reduction height body beyond 20% its initial dimensions (1- 4). condition generated when combination axial rotational forces on spine exceed offered by body. Primary osteoporosis responsible about 85% secondary neoplasty determine remaining 15% (5).
