摘要: Polymeric superabsorbent hydrogels are the kind of gels that obtained by chemically synthesizing with hydrophilic polymers to form a 3D-network structure. These have been extensively used in agriculture over last two decades as an absorbent. The aim this work is use polymeric hydrogel increase water holding properties growing media such soil and develop low cost system for monitoring. Two types were prepared swelling ratio was determined. A three times higher observed at DMAA (90 wt%) than SMG (30 even though both samples same cross-linker (MBAA). In contrast DMAA, gel has greater crystalline network structure measured mechanical dynamic light scattering. Experimental results suggest based suitable agriculture. cost, sensor based, monitoring developed indicates merit system.
