General considerations on the design of an interactive system for data analysis

摘要: Among the most important criteria in design and implementation of an interactive system for data analysis are: structure, control language, user interface, sytem versatility, extensibility, portability. The system, viewed as a set constrained decisions based on these criteria, will be discussed. concepts considerations discussed this article about systems are general nature neither problem-specific nor discipline-specific. Specific examples from statistical packages their designs cited illustration purposes only.
