Can Sustainable Agriculture Feed Africa? New Evidence on Progress, Processes and Impacts

摘要: Africa faces enormous food security challenges. Most commentators agree that, despite the complexities of insecurity, there will have to be increases in production from existing agricultural land. Most, too, are pessimistic about future, judging likelihood success on basis past performance ‘modern’ development. Sustainable agriculture, though, offers new opportunities, by emphasising productive values natural, social and human capital, all assets that either has abundance or can regenerated at low financial cost.
