摘要: The effect of frequency chirping on the performance optical communication systems is analyzed theoretically using a simple but realistic model for chirped pulses emitted by directly modulated semiconductor laser. pulse-edge sharpness investigated considering propagation super-Gaussian in dispersive single-mode fiber. results are presented parameter values appropriate 1.55-μm system employing conventional silica fibers and qualitative agreement with reported experimental observations.
