Structural and excitation dependent emission properties of octahedral CeO2:Er3+ nanocrystal

摘要: Abstract Octahedral CeO2:Er3+ nanocrystals were successfully prepared using a simple hydrothermal method, and the structural excitation dependent emission properties investigated in detail. Green (2H11/2, 4S3/2 → 4I15/2), red (4F9/2 → 4I15/2) NIR (4I11/2 → 4I15/2 4I13/2 → 4I15/2) observed under 980 nm laser diode excitation. The optimal Er3+ doping concentration was 3 mol%, effect of Li+ co-dopants with up to 10 mol% on microstructure investigated. However, for samples excited 352 nm down-conversion excitation, Vis-NIR spectral distribution induced distinct changes related mode. Remarkably high enhancement 1532 nm about 12 times achieved by codoping ions, which make CeO2:Er3+,Li+ nanocrystal promising candidate optical amplifier broadband UV pumping. possible mechanism above up-and energy transfer process has also been discussed.
