摘要: We present a review of theoretical and methodological advances in the social scientific literature on environmental inequality/racism argue for new directions research efforts that pay more attention to (1) historical forces driving justice conflicts; (2) complex role stakeholders these struggles; (3) inequality, particularly trade-offs between protection equity; (4) impact movement activity state protection. Drawing case study an conflict United States, we find inequality impacts many actors with often contradictory cross-cutting allegiances. These struggles therefore become moving drama—a process—rather than cross-sectional outcome. conclude analysis global scale transnational capital remains largely untheorized literature. suggest models explaining inequality's causes consequences.
