摘要: Abstract The impact of projectiles at sub-ordnance velocities against mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium plates, has been studied in a series experiments. projectile mass, nose shape hardness have shown to an important effect on penetration as does the target rigidity support condition. All materials exhibit clear ‘kink’ related change from energy absorption by plastic deformation perforation with well-defined shear bands no appreciable bulging.
