Ultrafast Spectroscopy with Broad Probe Spectral Range Extending from Near Ultraviolet to Near Infrared

摘要: A broad-band femtosecond spectroscopy apparatus has been developed. The spectrum of the probe light pulse extends from 400 nm to 3.0 μm, covering near ultraviolet (NUV), visible (VIS), and infrared (NIR) ranges. time resolution is better than 100 fs in NUV VIS regions, 200 NIR region. minimum detectable absorbance change 2 × 10−3 for wavelengths between 1.6 μm 3 μm. tunable pump was also developed using second-harmonic generation (SHG) sum-frequency (SFG) cavity optical parametric oscillator. tuning ranges SHG SFG are 529—585 426—483 nm, respectively. study ultrafast geometrical relaxation processes a substituted poly(phenylacetylene) by use broad described as an example at end.
