摘要: We present observations of the dwarf galaxies Draco and Ursa Minor, Local Group M32 M33, globular cluster M15 conducted with Whipple 10 m gamma-ray telescope to search for signature self-annihilating weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs), which may constitute astrophysical dark matter (DM). review motivations selecting these sources based on their unique environments report results data analysis that produced upper limits excess rate gamma rays each source. consider models DM distribution in source available observational constraints discuss possible scenarios enhancement luminosity. Limits thermally averaged product total self-annihilation cross section velocity WIMP, -->?? , are derived using conservative estimates magnitude contribution flux. Although do not constrain predictions from currently favored theoretical supersymmetry (SUSY), future VERITAS will probe a larger region WIMP parameter phase space, particle mass ( -->m?).
