摘要: The parasitic life-cycle of Haemonchus similis (Travassos 1914) is described for the first time and compared with those H. contortus (Rudolphi 1803) placei (Place 1893). Fourteen Nelore calves five to six years age, made worm-free by application large spectrum anthelmintics, were inoculated 10,000 infective larvae slaughtered at intervals 36, 48, 76 hr, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18, 21, 24 28 days after infection. remaining two left in order verify prepatent period. dynamics infection was following: 36/48 exsheathed third-stage larvae; hr., initial 4th stage 8th day, final 18th 5th 28th adult helminths. period 27/28 days. congestion abomasum mucosa very high until 13th whereas oedema increased last necropsy. majority immature forms recovered from digested material indicating a short histotrophic phase. It observed that similar , but differed respect rate development some stages. morphology different stages, except phase, other species cattle.
