摘要: Abstract ZnMoO 2 S ·H O and ZnMoS 4 were synthesized in laboratory. Their thermal stability was investigated by means of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), their lubricating characteristics at temperatures up to 500°C examined sliding a Sialon ceramic ball against W18Cr4V steel disc on high temperature ball-on-disc tribometer. The morphologies the elemental distributions worn surfaces observed determined scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy dispersion spectrometry (EDS). chemical states some typical elements explored X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). As results, both showed good lubricity for ceramic/W18Cr4V pair from room 400°C. XPS analytical results indicate that experienced tribochemical reactions during friction process 300°C, thereby generating Mo higher valence. SEM observations show surface protective film composed lubricants decomposed products formed thereon, which contributes keep off contact abate adhesion scuffing lubricated surfaces, therefore decrease coefficients.
