摘要: Abstract To better understand constraints on EMG activity, burst duration was restricted for the rectus femoris (RF) muscle as subjects walked a motor-driven treadmill. Once in each step cycle (touchdown to touchdown of left foot) computer-activated light discriminated short (if green) and silence red). All four rapidly met criterion 90% success 50 cycles 100–300 msec long within performance duration, PDUR, 700 msec. In contrast, two failed reduce conform 100–200 requirement. Several variables were ruled out bearing these between-subject differences: (1) complete failure produce since many successful; (2) differential effect upon “reinforcer” types (a high tone after low failure, or else audible biofeedback before tone); (3) appreciable differences swing/stance ratios; (4) presence absence concomitant activity other leg muscles whose recorded. The frequent accurately terminate suggested be due greater susceptibility, whether reflexive conditioned, simulation arising contracting RF itself.
